Broken Arrow is on the economic growth side of the game! It’s easy to disregard it as a simple suburb. How many people can remember when Broke Arrow started as just a little town on the east side of Garnett? Who would know that later Broken Arrow would have two of the largest school districts in the state in their township? There is also Rhema Bible College that attracts many out-of-state and out-of-country students to live for several years. There are a couple of large car dealerships along in the mix. That’s just a few to name of the many big and successful attractions in Broken Arrow. Recently, there has been some even more economical development in the area. In the near future, there will be a new Wal-Mart and a Warren Theater opening. The Bass Pro is looking for more than seasonal help. They have fifty openings that could turn into possible full time or permanent employment. In addition to all these exciting wage earning opportunities in our local economy, there are bids for another Wal-Mart and a Chick-fil-A. Let’s not forget about the downtown Broken Arrow re-opening and their renovations. The new local businesses will have a direct impact in the long-term economy. When people see that the commute to find entertainment and eatery is around the corner, people tend to become a permanent fixture. Broken Arrow should be a consideration in the next time everyone wants to go out for a good evening or even re-locate.
